At K9 Body & Mind, we know that pets aren't just pets – they're family and they deserve as much love and respect as any other family member!
This is why we are dedicated to treating and loving each and every furry one like our own and make sure we tailor our services to the needs of you and your pets whether this be making sure to stay with a pup suffering from separation anxiety at all time, employing hands-off care for pets that prefer to be left alone, or building up to care services slowly through meet and greets so nervous pets (or pet parents!) are as comfortable with us as possible

We have extensive experience with a wide range of animals, breeds and behaviours so please reach out to us to have a chat about your needs!

Our pack!

Obviously our own dogs are an integral part of our team and journey, meet them here!

Kaydee

is a 2 year old Working Cocker Spaniel

Anyone who knows this breed will know that Kaydee keeps us on our toes with her boundless energy and zest for life. She is an absolute pocket rocket but her loving nature and positive attitude to everything she faces make even the dullest days bright!

Archie and Kaydee have a special bond and you will never find them far away from each other! It took very careful introduction but Kaydee wormed her way into Archie's heart and now he will do anything for his baby sister.

Kinto

is a 14 year old Siberian Husky

Kinto came to us via SHARE Rescue in 2015 and has always been a 'boomerang' dog! Wherever we placed her never stuck and she joined our pack for good.
Kinto's past traumas mean she is quite particular about her routine, how she is handled and had some strange fears AND she suffers with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (doggie dementia!) and spondylosis. Her pain is well managed and whilst CCD can mean she needs some extra special care, she doesn't know she is poorly so she is the happiest girl you could meet! Her resilience and willingness to love and trust after all she has been through is a testament to everything we love about our dogs.

Archie

is a 7 year old Border Collie

Arch is a special character with some quirks that inspire us to ensure all our services are tailored to every individual. Archie loves his humans and his quick collie brain is always switched on ready to go! When Archie was born, he had to be resuscitated four times so he is a total miracle and we are so lucky to have him. It is theorised that Archie may have some damage to his brain due to this trauma at birth. Whilst he adores his sisters (and nanny Kinto!), he tolerates the boys and dislikes unknown dogs, this requires careful management to ensure his needs are catered to and he is happy.

Ben

is an 11 year old Husky cross

This special boy was hand-reared by us and still thinks he's that tiny baby! Ben is epileptic which means we are well-experienced with seizures and medication for this condition. Thankfully, his epilepsy is under control but we are careful to minimise exposure to his triggers! Ben is a very silly boy and never takes anything seriously, we joke he shares a brain cell with our fish but we adore his goofy antics that never fail to make us smile.

Loki

is a 10 year old Siberian Husky

Loki came to SHARE Rescue many years ago and was adopted but returned in 2022 as he was placed in an unfortunate situation and was seized by the police due to biting. Luckily we were able to provide a safe, secure forever home and Loki is here to stay! He's been on a mission the last year to lose a lot of excess weight he came to us with and has been a total star. He has also been through major surgery to remove a huge fatty lump that was restricting his movement. All these troubles are long behind him and Loki is a happy, fit, funny boy who loves the sound of his own voice! His past trauma mean he is a bit of a scaredy-cat sometimes but he's learning to be brave!

Emma

is a 5 year old Siberian Husky

Emma came to us at 7 months old via SHARE Rescue after she was hit by a car. Her leg was severely broken and she had internal bruising/damage. A repair of her leg was attempted but sadly this failed and her leg was amputated. The strength and trust shown by this girl during her recovery will stay with us forever. She recovered amazingly and copes flawlessly as a tri-pod! Her agility is unmatched as she can turn faster than all the others meaning she is always one of the top-dogs during play! Her affectionate personality shines during down-time and her cuddles are just the best.

Cookie

is a 5 year old Jack Russell cross Chihuahua

This little lady has a HUGE character! She truly makes her presence known and is such a funny little girl but adores her humans and loves a cuddle under a blanket or two. She came to us via a grooming client that could no longer cope with her. Although Cookie has never been mistreated, she is genetically very fearful and dislikes new dogs, loud noises and isn't really keen on walks! Although people see her barking as 'small dog syndrome' it's really because she's scared which means that we avoid populated areas and take Cookie to the countryside where she can be free and relaxed.

Pirate

is a 1 year old Siberian Husky

The baby of the pack! Pirate is our most recent addition and came to us via SHARE Rescue last year alongside his mum who is happily adopted.

Pirate is our golden boy! Always on his best behaviour, he very rarely puts a paw wrong. He loves his brothers and sisters and is always trying his best to entertain them. This little man is just a joy to be around, always loving and well tuned in to human emotions, he just knows what you need!

We met in 2016 thanks to our shared love of dogs
